Meet the Arco Iris:

The Arco Iris is the name of Rainbow Snow's mobile snow cone stand/shaved ice trailer. Inspired by the spanish word for Rainbow “Arcoíris,” the Arco, makes entrepreneurship accessible with a compact design, drop-and-go convenience and off-grid capabilities to allow each franchisee to operate in both indoor and outdoor venues.

The Arco has a unique circular shape with 34 square feet of interior operating space. The exterior measures at 13 ft 6 in. L. x 6 ft 9 in. W. x 9 ft 11 in.H. and is designed to ensure easy maneuverability.

The Arco requires that your vehicle have a towing capacity to handle The Arco. The Arco is designed as a mobile trailer, so a hitch will be required. The Arco weighs 3,500-pounds, so a Class III or Class IV hitch with a 2 inch receiver will be required. No hitch, no problem - if your vehicle has the ability to tow 3,500 pounds but doesn’t have a hitch installed, you can get one added at most auto shops and dealerships. Popular options include U-Haul, Pep Boys or your local car dealership. Costs typically range from $200–$600.

Examples of vehicles that meet this towing requirement include the Honda Pilot, Ford Explorer, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Toyota 4Runner and a Tesla Model X.

The Arco is constructed with NSF certified materials and is compliant with DOT and National Highway Association standards. It includes an electric brake system, a breakaway system that activates the brakes if disconnected, safety chains, brake lights, a backup camera, an in-unit camera, a GPS tracker for real-time location monitoring, and a fire extinguisher. The Arco is also equipped with a wheel boot to prevent movement and a hitch lock to prevent unauthorized towing.

The Arco is equipped with a 21-gallon fresh water tank, a 30-gallon grey water tank, and a 2.5-gallon water heater. The design allows the Arco to operate off-grid for extended periods without utility sources like water.

The Arco is designed for ultimate flexibility! It comes equipped with a powerful 460Ah lithium battery (5,800 watts), giving you several hours of operation without needing to plug-in. When you do need to recharge or run off external power, simply plug into a standard 30-amp outlet, whether from a building or a generator. This means you can serve anywhere without worrying about keeping your setup running.

The Arco was designed to be low-maintenance with vinyl flooring, HDPE moisture-resistant and NSF-certified cabinetry and countertops. The three-compartment wares washing sink has custom inserts that are easy to wipe down and be used as counter space when the sink is not in use.

The Arco has ample storage, including interior cabinetry and shelving, an onboard freezer that holds up to 300 servings worth of ice, and exterior storage compartments to hold your essentials while traveling. The interior cabinetry and shelving is built into the frame of the Arco and includes exposed overhead storage, under cabinet storage and countertop storage.These storage areas are specially designed to fit cleaning supplies, paper products, simple syrup and flavor concentrates so that you have everything you need to operate.

The Arco does not include a bathroom, so we recommend partnering with local venues and event locations to ensure access to services such as power, water, and restrooms before duty calls.

The Arco features side lighting, counter lights, and rear entry lights to keep operations running smoothly after dark.
